The really stupid thing about the whole broom deal is that Cam Jordan didn't even send it. It was a Saints fan on the big Saints message board. He even posted the receipt from Amazon.

Talk about letting them get inside your head, you put it on your cleats you're just advertising it to them. Then he was so anxious to show them up he wasted 12 or 15 seconds in a 2 minute drills doing his first down point and jawing with the defense. That's shit you get benched for in high school ball.

I dont think they'd want to sign him. Maybe if nothing else worked out and they had money to burn or something, and even then only if it was super reasonable. They seem pretty happy with Mack and would probably better spend that money elsewhere.
