Um, Oakland just hit a grand slam.

EDIT: And TB gets the last 2 out.

So nothing really changed between OAK/NYY. Both win Friday, lose Saturday/Sunday.

Rays gain a game, but boy how much do you think they wish they could have that Friday game back?

Compare the Yankees and Athletics budget.

Pathetic, fire Boone at the very least to send the message this is unacceptable to fans.

Braves lose yet another home series and the Phillies drop a winnable game against the Marlins...

Brewers also blow a chance to gain a huge game on the Cubs.

So the Rays and Nationals do end up winning 2 of 3, but Friday might end up being the nail in their coffin.

They gained 1 game, not 3.

Tonight's game really needs a STL win. LAD/COL play this week and so do STL and ATL. If either the Nats or Pirates have a good week they can gain some wild card ground.

Brewers have a good week at Wrigley and give it back this weekend. They finished the week as it began, 3 back.

Yanks don't have an easy schedule to finish up. Series against the Red Sox twice, one against the Rays and then the O's. O's obviously easy.

They havent been AMAZING against Baltimore though.

Rays clinch a winning season. Never saw that in the forecast. Most of the team can't be named by the majoeity. I suspect because they might win 90 theyll keep that whole bullpen thing going. Their biggest problem is they are in the hardest division.

A 90+ win team, probably 100 wins, that may very well win the wild card and could go all the way. A debacle? I'd say there are plenty of teams that would love to be in the Yankees position.
You think a lot of teams would like to spend like them and get knocked out in the Widl Card game?
