Sticking with Bastian but I can definitely hear arguments for Sharangovich and Talvitie. I think if I had to do it over again I'd vote for Sharangovich, even though there's definitely a decent chance that he does poorly in the AHL and never comes back to North America.

I went with Talvite who I think is on the quiet track to percolate under the radar to develop out of the limelight (insert Rush riff) to make it to the end of the line (insert George slide lick). Add professor X.

Maltsev should be much higher IMO but the unknown if he ever comes to NA prolly dropping him.

Should he be higher than Sharangovich, though? I know Maltsev was playing for SKA which is much harder to break into, but Sharangovich probably had better results all things considered. They're at least close enough that I would hesitate putting one strictly over the other.

Agreed about Maltsev. Guy could be a major mover up this list next year. However, Sharangovich probably had a more impressive WJC on a less stacked team.

Really is impressive what Shero/Castron have done with this prospect pool - even after the top 10 prospects on the list there are still a lot of good choices.

Hellickson really isn't on anyone's radar yet and he was receiving high praise from Eric Weinrich after the prospects camp as potentially our best college prospect.

Since I am a relative newcomer to this process, has anyone ranked lower than Wood's seventh made the jump to full time NHLer in the hf NJ prospect polls of the past? Just curious.

Last year's poll is in quotes below. The table got all screwed up when they transferred forums, but if you look on the right side, you can see the 2016 and 2015 polls, respectively.

I think the last one before that was 2013 and the rest got lost in the forum purge a few years ago.

Bratt was 17 so there you go. There is hope for all the prospects!
