Every year there's a mock draft done by the team boards of HF -- here are the results of 2015, 2016, and 2017. Rules are easy: just pick the player you want your team to draft based on who is still available; "trade the pick" is not an option ;)

Surprised to see Merkley off the board already.

Sucks as well that LA stole Bokk from under our nose.

I'd go with either Thomas, Wise, or Miller, but I do think Wise has the highest ceiling of the three so I went with him.

While I went with someone else, I'd just like to say that McLeod is really good and he'd be my second choice.
Saw you voted Hållander… while I think that the 23 is a bit early to grab him(specially with guys like Thomas, and potentially bokk on the board) ... I wouldn't mind possibly moving up in the 2nd round from 54... into the late 30 area and hope to grab 1 of hallander or olofsson…. maybe the 79 + 54 for the 37-39.... idk if that gets us up to that area tho.

The area from like 10-45 is very up in the air... so there may be some guys like Kupari/koteiniemi/wilde etc that fall into that 23 spot. And if they really like hallander…. maybe we move down to the end of round 1 and pick up another 2nd round pick and grab him. I def wouldn't mind having 2 picks in the top 50 in this draft.

Lets say like
23rd + 116 for 28 + 39, guess it depends who is on the board at 23.

Went with Dellandrea. Big fan of his. Really wish we could've had Berggren or Kaut.

Dellandrea just keeps improving, he wasn't on anyone's radar at the start of his OHL draft season and kept rising up the rankings as that season went on. Seems like a guy who could really explode over the next couple seasons.

I went with Thomas here, but there are also some intriguing Dmen on the board. Samuelsson, Lundkvist, Miller, Addison seems like he flies under the radar, very slick.

Dellandrea just checks all of the boxes for me. He's skilled, a strong 2 way player, has his motor running every shift and is a leader. If he slips out of the first round he's a steal imo. Thomas is stronger offensively but personally I don't think it's by enough to top what else Dellandrea does on the ice. But I also wouldn't be shocked if in a year's time Thomas is viewed like Jordan Kyrou was a year out of his draft. Really like both players.

I have my doubts that he'd be available then. As I understand it, Hallander is a late riser, so the various rankings probably aren't accurate as to where a lot of the teams have him in their rankings. Hallander, Thomas, and McLeod are the only forwards that I really like here. I think they're better than a lot of the guys that went before them in this mock.

Don't think Thomas will be available.

Hallander definitely is intriguing, seems like one of this year's bigger late bloomers - even literally speaking as he's shot up from 5'11 to now 6'2.
