Count me as a believer of the "If KC won the toss and scored we wouldn't be having this conversation" narrative. People are salty because it's NE, and only because it's NE. This has been a rule for years, and while it isn't perfect, I don't think you can make these teams potentially play 10+ minutes of one posession each before saying next score wins. At some point these players bodies just can't handle it.

Frankly, there's enough evidence to back up the fact that it's not an inherently broken system for the team that wins the toss. 55% of teams that won the toss, scored a TD and won the game. That's not enough to make me think it needs to be changed.

And FWIW, I think the college OT is equally as stupid in it's own right.

I can understand making the argument for playoff purposes, but I still don't agree with it.

I remember there was a lot about this winning toss and scoring what if narrative when GB lost back to back OT playoff games at Arizona and at Seattle
