he definitely has a more varied tool kit than Lehkonen. Besides Lehkonen's snake bittenness/lack of production he's still a pretty solid NHLer. No guarantees he'll be better than Artti but I like Ylonen's skill set better for sure.

yeah if being more offensively active was just a confidence issue due to lack of size as opposed to a decision-making/IQ issue then we could have ourselves a player here. Very interested to see how he does. 11 lbs should help.

According to some sites I can find from last year's draft, he was listed at 167 lbs. So if he took 11 lbs of muscle, that would make him 178 lbs.

he still would battle pretty hard in the corners for such a bean pole. If he can fill out and truly get stronger without losing speed he could be a beauty.

If he added 11lbs within a year he'll probably be able to add between 15 and 20 during the next 2 years.

So he'll be around 195, which is more than ok, especially if he keeps his speed.

In this day and age it should be fine. Very similar physic as KK at the moment,perhaps even heavier than KK is now.

Yeah. The great thing about drafting from Finland is the national team follows the kids from early adolescence to their early pro years. They have access to all the ressource they need according to what their weaknesses are. My guess is KK has had a good summer, both for his skating and size. Give him another year and he's likely our best center by 2020-2021.
