How does Hughes look?
It definitely is. Part of the excitement comes from how many mistakes are made at this level though, you just don't see it as much in the NHL.i notice this every year…..this tournament is insanely fast hockey

How does Hughes look?
it's the frost show
Frost has been all over the ice, well deserved 3 points in the first period.
How the heck did he drop in draft day?
I didn't think J Hughes looked dominant today .
Barzal looked better than him back in WJC a few years ago.
Though, it's only one game.
He didn't drop. He went 27th and was ranked lower than that. How the heck did he drop in draft day?

Barzal also didn't play at the World Juniors in his draft year. He played in his D+1 and D+2 seasons.
So it's an even better job of scouting by Hextall's guys.
Oh, Hughes is younger than Barzal was at WJC?
Is Smith playing for Canada?
barely. looks exactly like butcher on the pp though.
4-5-2 with Fletcher, so I doubt they miss him much! It's crazy that Hextall was fired with all of the high end prospects he's drafted/signed , such as Frost
Yes, Hughes is 17 and in his draft year. Barzal was 18 and in his D+1 season when he first played at the WJC, and he got 3 points in 5 games.Oh, Hughes is younger than Barzal was at WJC?
He's playing a regular shift it seems, and on the 2nd power play unit. Looks pretty calm and smooth out there, as expected. Is Smith playing for Canada?
