I think Virta started his SHL season with like 1 assist in the first 6 games or something. Now he has 11 pts in 26 games. Its not bad, the SHL is a low scoring league. The 5th player in scoring has 33 pts in 42 games. If you are at a little more than 0.5 PPG you are one of the top scorer for your team, if not the top scorer.

Virta has been at that level after having warmed up for Örebro. I hope that Virta can play in the NHL next season.
Yep, it was actually 1 assist in 10 games. Then he picked up a few points in the next couple games, went another handful without a point, and had now been producing pretty consistently. He plays 2C there and is the C on the 1PP unit. He doesn't get huge minutes but does get good, consistent minutes. He's redeeming his season over these past weeks.

Easily done. It's all Scandinavia.

Don't let amazin push you around:
"Scandinavia" in The Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary (2008). "Scandinavia: Denmark, Norway, Sweden — sometimes also considered to include Iceland, the Faeroe Islands, & Finland"

I think the Farao Islands lies outside Egypt in the Red Sea, strange that they are included?

He's also playing on a team fighting against relegation. Not the best environment to flourish

Faeroer Islands have a great flag. I like the white flag with the red-white cross more than the Norwegian red with the blue-white cross. Finland's flag is clean. Very neat. The white represents the snow, while the deep blue represents the lakes. Still not Scandinavia though. Fennoscandia ;)

He just can't admit when he's wrong.

Interesting piece on Reunanen in today's official prospect report by the Rangers.

It sounds so familiar. Hmmm. Oh, that's right  Just change the seasons, remove 3 names and post

Amazing K: I have a vague recollection that there was a problem with Reunanan at the beginning of the year, either he was injured or wasn't playing much. I see he has played 50 of 52 games so it wasn't an injury. Is my memory failing me again or was he not playing much at the beginning of the year? I ask only because if I do remember correctly then his performance is even more impressive.

He had a bump at the beginning of the year and even played a game down with Lukko's U20 team. Then he settled in and ended up taking off. I did a breakdown of his monthly TOI somewhere recently which you can also find on his Liiga player page.

His TOI jumped up mid November after he fully recovered and took over 1st pair duties. It's not as bad as the broken leg he had in 2015 which saw him drop in the draft

TBH, I see you doing a better research than whoever digs stats for the Rangers, not plagiarism.

Haha. I'll take that as a compliment. It's just annoying to see stats eerily similar appear a week after I post them. This is the 10th time or so it's happened. Darko actually pointed it out on Twitter last week and the official stats and info account of the Rangers blocked me after that. I didn't even say anything myself

Oh, maybe! I need to find out. If anyone can help me locate the exact details of that 2015 injury, thanks @nyr2k2 might remember this

Found it!

Tarmo Reunanen Speaks To Blueshirt Banter

"I was in very good physical condition a year ago and developed day-by-day, but then I had a pain in my buttock and thigh. DC specialists had the opinion that it was a gluteal tear and said it would take time to get better. I trained nearby as normal for three months when they found the truth of my problem; it was a disc prolapse."

"I did recovering physiotheraphy for nine weeks but it was too late."

Reunanen had surgery twice, the second after a "bad luck" complication, and it's apparent just how frustrating that spell on the shelf was for him at such an important time.

"I think you can imagine how difficult it is going nearly five months without normal training. I was in very good physical condition a year ago and was waiting for the golden season including Under-18 and Under-20 tournaments [with Finland]. I lost 8kg in weight but now I have got nearly all of it back."

You should make up some fake stats and see if they post it lol

I wonder if Barron plans to spend all 4 years at Cornell.

I hope he does, that would mostly mean a leadership role on top of his scoresheet contributions
Another year and a half is not that far out

Yeah, sorry, that was a trafniarb
But I still see only benefits to his staying

He looks like he should have a legitimate NHL career so I doubt he'd stay in school all 4 years. The likely scenario is him leaving after this year or next. He'd be able to finish his degree in offseason.
