Kirill Maksimov had an assist, 6 shots, got called for tripping and was +1, as the IceDogs sent the Attack into retreat 6-1.

2nd Star 3-0-3, +3, 5sog. a goalie interference and an unsportsmanlike minor and a fighting major (in which the other guy took an instigator) for Maksimov in a 7-2 win.

2 assists, a +1 and a roughing minor for Bouchard as London wins big 8-1.

3rd Star 1-1-2 -2, 4sog.and 17/25 on draws for McLeod in a 5-2 loss.

0-1-1 -1 and 4sog. for Samorukov in a 4-3 loss.

I understand how frustrating that could be in juniors, but hopefully he keeps the mean streak when he turns pro.

That’s a dimension the Oilers lack when it comes to their forwards.

Since it seems to be a nagging injury, Oilers probably want to make sure he’s fully healed before Halifax puts him back on the ice.

Can't wait to have this shot in the Oilers lineup.

Also in other news: Ostap Safin has been invited to the Czech Republic WJC camp even though it seems like he is having issues with some kind of hip injury, and he was (or is) in Edmonton and met with doctors regarding said injury.

Seems a bit unorthodox to say the least to fly all the way from Halifax to Edmonton to have the Oilers look at his injury. Wonder what that's about?

It’s the oilers wanting their own doctors looking at his injury, happens all the time with NHL teams.

Oilers did this with benson aswell.

I mean Benson was far closer to Edmonton though and he's an Edmonton native so it makes a lot more sense in that case, but to have a guy in juniors fly from Halifax mid-season strikes me as odd, but maybe I'm wrong.

Might be able to add a bit of context on Safin. He was traded to Halifax early in the season and the hip injury kept him out for over a month before he was able to get into his first game with the Moose and once he was back....He just did not look good. Like he had no foot speed at all and just really wasn't doing much of anything on the ice. This is an injury that initially they didn't think would be long term....so I would think they are needing a bit of a second opinion here and see if they can actually get him healthy to turn his season around.

After all of 11 games, Bouchard is third on his team in +/- with a +20.

5-10-15 +20 with 52sog. in 11 games. Not bad.
