Always nice to see the Knicks and Nets do poorly, hopefully that continues.

I noticed Harris/Blitzer's NBA team, the Sixers, have sold out all 7 home games.

In college hoops, Michigan took Villanova behind the woodshed last night, 73-46

Locally, Seton Hall got whipped by Nebraska 80-57 in Lincoln
*Their home opener at The Rock is this Saturday night.

What schools are you guys alums of for D-1 hoops?
Rutgers? Who else?

Villanova

Eating my words from my prior post... Seton Hall with a Wooden Legacy sweep, beating a very good undefeated Miami team for the Championship. If not for a tough loss against a good St. Louis team, this team would be 5-1. Very encouraging given the depth of the team and dominance on the boards last night. Go Pirates!

Will Michigan jump up in the rankings? I have them at #4 behind Gonzaga, Kansas and Duke.

New Jersey D1 ball's big programs starting quite strong as a whole this season. Seton Hall, Rutgers, and Princeton all with winning records.

Really good to see NJIT continue to make strides after opening their new building. That program is really coming into its own. We'll see them in the tournament within 5-7 years, via either the Atlantic Sun title or an at-large into the First Four.

Oh, also, NJIT's center court logo is absolute fire.

Ugh. Killed by a 2-for-20 stretch in the second half. Same story of too many quality possessions wasted for the Hall. The finishing is honestly the worst right now. We can’t be this reliant on Powell to put up all the points.

That’s now three losses against quality opposition in resume-building games for the tournament. We might be putting ourselves under the gun already.

Rutgers game is a must-win now, since you can’t assume this team will find it against Kentucky (though what a famous upset that would f***ing be, especially at MSG). Next game is Tuesday night against New Hampshire. If they’re not waking up 5-3 Wednesday morning, we got problems.

The Hall shoulda won today, you can't give up a big 2nd half lead at home on national tv
