I saw those games since the person running that site does a great job, it's such a time saver to just have all one players shifts. I didn't get to see as much of the wjc as I had hoped but I did see all 3 of the 4 nations tourny in Nov and saw the same things as I did before. Will likely not get to see much of him until he leaves Finland so it's hard to say just yet if it's a problem or not. Just wish liiga would let anyone buy a subscription to Telia, as it looks well worth the money as their game highlight clips are in HD.

didn't see the game but nice win for Northeastern as they are now 1 pt from 2nd place in the HE, you need to be top 4 for home ice in the playoffs. They have 4 games left in the regular season, 2 vs UNH and 2 vs BC a team they are fighting with for home ice.

For Poehling, if they win tomorrow as well that should all but lock up the NCHC regular season title again. They have a 13 pt lead if they hold on tonight, with 5 games left after tonight.

Maybe he just improved and got more confident as the season progressed since I was really surprised about his play in general at the wjc... And yeah, having acess to FEL games would be really nice, thats why I hope he gets signed in the summer and comes over to play in Laval , I think his game is already solid enough for the AHL too, I wouldnt even be surprised to see him being relatively dominant early enough in the process...

Man 2 point games are the norm for him it seems. I'm interested to see how much of MJ's goals he's involved in. Super stoked to see him in Laval next year.

Precisely. It's actually because it's such a big feature of his game that getting stronger is so important for him. It seems like sometimes, on the cycle, he wants to make many more aggressive plays than he does, but he knows that if he drops the shoulder to cut inside he'll get crushed.

Yeah he just seems to have the build and the skill set of a perimeter player but he's pretty feisty on the boards and on the forecheck from the little I've seen. Doesn't always win his battles but if he could get stronger it would be huge because his tenacity could over come the POSSIBLY not so great IQ.

From what I saw, he made a ton of heady passes against the Kazakhstan team. The next game I saw I feel like he at least made one kind of dumb play. Possibly two but I can't remember. I haven't seen enough to really say. I at least don't think it's a big issue but it could put a lower roof on his potential but again haven't seen enough to say. I think Mrb1p said something about his positioning. Maybe instead of working like a dog along the boards wouldn't be as effective as just being in the right place? I guess that could be the case.

It would be so great if Tyszka gets fully back on track after the tough year he has had.

He's honestly exceeded my expectations. Considering Seattle is a pretty crappy team, his performance and production is solid. Still has Top 4 potential but now I see him as a solid #5/#6 15-20pt D in the NHL. (Like Jordie Benn except actually good)

He's obviously had a smaller sample size but Tyszka is 17th in PPG among WHL defensemen, a couple spots behind Walford. Brook is still #1.

Tyszka has 6 points in his last 4 games.

Brook has 14 points in his last 9 games.

Walford has 18 points in his last 14 games.

And then on the front end, Fonstad has 14 points in his last 10 games.

    And much more mobile.

I liked him at the Rookie Showcase until he got hurt.

Yeah, and like I said, he wasn't that far behind Brook before the injury. Missing half a season during a critical time in his development really sucked but he still looks like a future NHLer to me.

I had called him the sleeper pick of the 2017 draft.

Lucky he had that disastrous Memorial Cup, he probably wouldn't have fallen to us otherwise.

Really like Tyszka's game... it'll be interesting to see all these WHL defenseman come play in Laval next year. Insulate them with some veteran guys like Alzner and a couple others.

You'd have to think Lernout is done in the Habs organization.

Didn't he also have a shoulder injury his draft year? IIRC, Timmins was saying that because he got hurt not a lot of scouts were following him much, which gave Timmins the security that he can select him.

Joni Ikonen didn't play in today's game....is he being held out of the lineup for a trade? I'm joking, let's hope he didn't aggravate anything.
