Strange, Poehling had 1G+1A but no stat sites have credited him with the OT winner. In fact, the ST Cloud site does not even list the game as a W. They have it as a tie. Whats up with that? Did they play OT for fun or what??

It was the same thing with Stapley's gorgeous OT winner last week. Denver won in OT but the game was officially listed as a tie, so Stapley's goal doesn't count in his stats.

I'm confused by that, as well.

Wow, it was a great night for most of our prospects.

Fonstad with 5 Points
Brook with 4 points (including overtime winner)
McShane with 3 points (including overtime winner)
Poehling with 2 points (including overtime winner)
Teasdale with 2 points (including overtime winner)

If only Guelph wouldn't have sucked rocks last night, it would have been perfect.

Was waiting for this post. Thanks Adam! :thumbu:

Wow, 10 shots on goal for Teasdale last night. You think he wanted to beat his former team? :naughty:

He want always beat Armada lollll but honnestly Armada deserve the win ... they plays great game but Teaser did what Teaser does best scoring a huge goal for Rouyn and his goal in overtime was a absolutly beauty goal... After the game I say him that he was not obliged to score at 31 seconds at the end lollll.

We could have some guys at the Memorial cup this year, Fonstad and Teasdale's teams are wiping their respective league while you never know with Guelph althought more unlikely to happen...

I'm confused by that, as well.

Beginning with the 2015-16 season, if a conference game is still tied after the 5-minute overtime, the two teams will then play a 3-on-3 (plus goalies) 5-minute overtime period for the extra point in the conference standings, keeping all conference games worth three points. The result of the 3-on-3 overtime will not affect the PairWise rankings as the game is still considered a tie. If a team scores during the 3-on-3 overtime, the winning team will receive the extra point for two points in the standings while the losing team will receive the one point for the tie. The final score of the game will still reflect a tie, however.

St-Cloud is pretty disappointing as a team lately, they were trash against North Dakota and are not playing any better tonight against Colorado College... Cant see them winning a championship the way they are playing...

Top teams in the NCAA will have a weaker 1st half schedule as the 2nd half becomes mostly conference games. ND is over .500 and they will play SCSU tough. CC started off slow this year but has been heating up. That said we'll see what happens as SCSU has Omaha next weekend and they are struggling badly letting in a ton of goals but after that the final 2 weeks of the season vs Western Michigan and UMD will be tough tests. SCSU has a 10 pt lead for the regular season NCHC title so they will likely lock it after next weekend but we'll see how they do in the playoffs and then the tournament. They have yet to lose a game at home this year and they have one of the best offenses in the NCAA with over 100 goals scored.

Was going to say Teasdale scored another 2 goals but was looking at the wrong date. Wishful thinking I guess!!

He does have 1 goal 1 assist however

Man he's been on fire. Laval's going to be fun next year.

He finishes the night with 1 goal and 2 assists. That gives him 14 goals, 11 assists in 16 games since he was traded. He already has 33 goals on the year which tops his previous best of 32 goals scored last year. At this pace, he should score above 40 this year.

He’s going to be a special player and I’m going to look dumb for freaking out on this “reach”

There's no harm in questioning picks at the draft, even the Russian posters seemed surprised he got picked that high. Time will tell if they made the right move or not. Timmins has had his fare share of misses especially in the 2nd round.

But it's also something we can all learn from not to overreact so much as I'll never forget the total board meltdown when we picked Price 5th OA. I think that was likely the worst i'd ever seen this board at the draft and look how that ended up (though there's a few that for some reason still think we should of kept Halak but that's for another thread that I don't want to read)

Looks like Josh Brook fought 6'4, 220 pound Mark Kastelic tonight, also getting a 10 minute game misconduct. Curious how he did against that beast.

Also strange penalties on the play - 2 of his teammates also got game misconducts + another got 2 for unsportsmanlike with nothing on the other side.

Chirping and likely trying to continue the scrum.
