Since the Europa League doesn't get as much traffic as the Champions League all the news about the draw and group stage will go here. The qualifying round was completed today and some surprises as usual in this competition. The biggest is the first side from Luxembourg to make a UEFA group competition in F91 Dudelange. Two sides from Norway, Cyprus and Scotland all make the competition

Really looking for another deep run for Arsenal. Also another chance to give some of the rotation players a good look.

A big deal for Spartak Trnava making it in. Aside from knocking out Legia on the champions route, they nearly took out Crvena zvezda as well (went to extra time). They've already said the EL will be their priority over the league and they're looking to get some last minute reinforcements to add at least a bit of depth.

Groups are set! Nice and easy one for Arsenal which should bode well

Celtic got both red bulls and rosenborg. Not a bad draw. Got probably the weakest 1 seed but the strongest 3 seed. Rosenborg is a bit boring though since we've played them in cl qualifiers twice in recent years.

They should go through easily, but the games against Sporting won't be easy.

So the two Red Bulls meet, how UEFA allows this who knows, I guess they technically aren't owned by the same owner, at least that's the nonsense I read :skeptic: Dudelange open their EL campaign at home to Milan, some story but would have laughed at you had you said that 15 years ago, how far Milan have fallen

    Tough group for OM.
    Bordeaux could go through.
Rennes will have to beat Astana, which isn't easy but doable.

I think groups B, C, D, F and H have 3 teams with possibilities of advancing. But in the Europa you never know who's taking it more serious and you always have a few surprises. Just locked and group G as well with Rangers could be another tough one.

Arsenal in the same group as Qarabag plus the final is in Baku while Armenians are banned from Azerbaijan.

The same situation happened in the CONCACAF Champions League a few years back when Chivas of Mexico faced Saprissa of Costa Rica and both teams were owned by the same guy. And technically with single entity every MLS match is between teams owned by the same entity.

The one place I didn't want to go, across the continent to a random 3rd world country nobody can find on the map or even pronounce.

That's what happens when you employ a manager for 40 years of his life.

Yeah you're wrong about Azerbaijan. Might not be a huge tourist attraction but it's not like it's some nothing country with nothing to do or see.

Rennes should make easy work of Astana. They haven't looked all that great in Europe, against Dinamo they were battered like a 2nd rate team. Also if you're in for a good laugh watch their penalty shootout against APOEL, it's hilarious.

Telemundo baby since Fox Sports sucked in the first place. Gotta get my Spanish dictionary out and go to work for the superior and more interesting Europa.

Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong, but Fox doesn't have coverage this year.
