I'm feeling reasonably confident that the Wings will get a bottom 3 placement in the upcoming lottery. March and April will be brutal months, even if Holland doesn't sell at the deadline.

I think Ottawa will be very hard to "catch", but Detroit should be right there in the next tier with LA. Hopefully NJ, CHI, FLA, ANA, and EDM can win just enough to finish with more points.

Dom Luszczyszyn is projecting the Wings to finish 3rd. SportsClubStats says the same.

Still a robust 0.1% chance to make the playoffs.

Note that none of this accounts for any kind of deadline activity. Conceivably, the Wings could be worse than listed.

And I don’t track Detroit’s games. Reasons... it feels less greasy to directly cheer against Detroit and also it’s the most important thing for the tank so it carries more weight than the other games.

Not a given, Remember Colorado had the worst record, Two season ago and finished 4th. Just because they've the Ottawa 1st doesn't mean they'll get Hughes. But it can't hurt.

I hope Calgary goes after Howard soon. Jimmy is about due for his annual midseason injury, and if there's going to be another slide in February, I'd prefer to get a pick out of it this time.

It's looking like a promising afternoon. Wings lost, Sens winning, Flyers winning, Kings should get at least a point. NJD are going to lose, but what else is new?
