Who knows what Sosunov has looked like because they haven't let him play. No idea why they took so long to send him down.
Fair. I don't know how they figure out fringe AHL guys into ECHLers.

He was tall in today's game.

Somppi is on his way back up to you guys per the Bears head coach post-game presser. Sosunov will be down here a little while.

ABB is up to a 12 game point streak Conacher had one earlier, longest point streak in the AHL.

Barre-Boulet has looked fantastic but he's also a year older than our other rookies. He's in the same age group as Cirelli, Joseph and Stephens not Katchouk and Raddysh. So I think that helps him a little bit and he also is on a line with Conacher and Andreoff the two best Crunch forwards. He's extremely small though, not even Johnson small more like Gaudreau small, so he will have a hard time over coming that as he's not quite as skilled as either of those. I don't want to sell the kid short just yet but I don't see him as the next Step. Louis, I see more his buddy Eric Perrin. Perrin has had a great professional career and is still going, he had some decent NHL success too as he played close to 250 games and had over 100 points. I just think he might be a kid who tears up the AHL or Europe but doesn't have the same success in the NHL.

He is taller than Johnson though he just needs to gain some weight and while he is definitely not as skilled as Gaudreau i do feel like he has better hands than Johnson at least. The real problem with him is his skating which is decent but not amazing.

I do think he is going to be an Nhl player. Maybe more of a powerplay specialist though.

I think Hose has a point though, in that, his frame is SO small. Johnson's short, but capable of putting on mass (too much mass, it turned out) because he has a fairly average frame. ABB does have more of a Gaudreau look to him. But his development, in terms of age, as Hose pointed out but as a counter-point to it, is also more in line with what Gaudreau and Johnson did, just without going the college route. So I'm not too worried about the extra year or two it's taken him to get to this point.

But going a ppg in the AHL is hard, so I think it's reasonable to get excited, even if it doesn't mean he's going to translate into a star player. I worry that he's never going to be able to put much mass on such a small frame, but the NHL is changing, and more and more frail players are able to make an impact, at least in the regular season.

If this keeps up, maybe we give him a couple of looks next year just to see if he can handle the physicality at high speed he'll be up against.

I think the big surprise is the goal-scoring. 0.5 gpg seems like a big deal at the AHL level.

Alex Volkov had his first goal against a goalie in over a month. Otto Somppi scored to SO winner.

Anyone have any idea why Jonne Tammela hasnt been playing for Orlando? He was doing well but hasn't dressed the last few games and I cant find any news that would explain why.
