I have no issue with Sellgren making a top 20 for someone. He had a REALLY good WJC this past year and was a top defender in Sweden's 2nd tier men's league.

I'd like to know more on Eetu2.0 and Rasanen as well, mostly because we don't get the chance to see them at all over here since neither made the Finland WJC team so all we have to go off of are scouting reports when/where available. De Jong... again, you got me, but someone had them in their top 20.

Wow, I felt like I was harsh on Drury but even I had him at #12 over Mattheos, Roy, and Gauthier.
Yeah I'll admit to still being higher on Goat then most but I was definitely surprised to see Mattheos over Drury in the final ranking when I did the tabulations. To be fair the rankings came in to some fairly tight groupings and Jack just happened to be at one of the 2 short ends of his. Roy had the benefit of being on almost every list and one surprisingly high ranking.

By the way tell your son they kicked ass tonight, definitely knocking on the door of finals. Just need to keep cleaning as I feel they have a better product then the 2 right in front of them.

Thanks man. He’s having an absolute blast, time of his life. And yeah, they’re really flipping impressive on the field.

Roy seems to be popular in other teams' trade proposals (especially Montreal). I am new, so I didn't rank the prospects. I can see Roy around 10. Though I can also see if ranking on overall potential, he could be higher. He won an award his last year in juniors as the best defensive forward in his league. He can win face-offs (and being a right shot that is even more important since Lindholm and Ryan are gone). He is big. Conceivably, he has the most places to fit if he continues to progress: fourth line center and PK specialist; middle 6 center who plays on both special teams; possibly even RW once Williams moves on.

This exercise has been much like the 2018 draft--the two at the top are locks. After that any of 3-12 could be stars or disappoint. Bean and Fox could both be special. Though the Canes seem to have enough young defensemen for the next 3-5 years.

I think Zykov will shine this year and for quite a few to come. As you mention, his skating is not as much of a drawback as some think. His style is exactly what the Canes have needed for a long time. He didn't look out of place in the NHL last season--especially when he leveled an opponent trying to check him at the blueline and when he scored a goal while be both cross-checked and tripped.

Of course, all Canes' fans hope one of 15/18/22 makes huge progress this year and is ready as early as next season. Because if one of them turns into a solid NHLer (even in 2-3 years) the rest of the young talent will have the Canes ending the season with 100+ points and being a serious Cup contender.

I didn’t make a list, but I can say you people (with the exception of Hank) suck at list making.
