NYT says that he's been spending his recent summers in Tampa. SNL seasons are basically the duration of the hockey season. End of September into mid-May.

I think he's leaving the show though, but getting his own, so maybe he'll spend more time down here now.

While I think Trotz was the correct winner, the trophy is stupid. I've said it way too many times but it's my biggest pet peeve in the league. They should rename the trophy to "most impressive team that sucked last season". Cooper was a finalist in 2013-14 because we sucked the season prior to that, and then he wasn't a finalist until now. You can't tell me that Cooper was at his best in his first full season as a coach.

Vasy was not a happy camper, even when he won the Vezina. I kinda like seeing that - the Cat has a win it all or bust mentality.

It's a nice accomplishment but it sets up for anything less than a cup final as a failure.
