Yeah, The Rychel vs Shinkaruk trade didn't make sense on a hockey stand point, maybe there's things we don't know.

Shinkaruk was supposed to be a good AHLer, at least he did produce a bit in Stockton and Utica. At his age, and with his draft pedigree (1st rounder) you would expect him to continue to get a bit better at the AHL level.

There is no reason for him to be struggling this much right now. He should be an AHL first line player, a leader for our team. This is not a mistake on Bergevin. It's on Shinkaruk

His stats were on a downhill path since his 51 points season in 2015-2016. He had 35 points/52 games in 2016-2017 and 32 points/63 games in 2017-2018.

Yes, ultimately Shinkaruk's performance is on him, but that doesn't change the fact that Bergevin traded a guy coming off a better AHL year for a guy who's been underachieving for years now. They're both the same age, first rounders in the same year. It's not like Bergevin traded an older guy to gamble on a younger guy who had more promise. I'm saying there must've been other reasons than hockey related stuff to that trade since he clearly traded for a worse AHLer at the same position.

Yes. Re-entry waivers doesn't exist anymore. So they can call him up whenever they want. And as soon as he's recalled, the countdown clock to send him back down without placing him through waivers again starts. And the countdown is either 30 days or 10 games, whichever of those two comes first.

Grenier and Shinkaruk not putting up any production is starting to be a real issue. You really want your AHL vets to carry the load offensively and yet they've both been MIA for the most part. Belzile and Froese on the other hand are at least pulling their weights.

How’s Fleury looking? I think his play is key for a potential Petry trade.

He's out with an injury. He's been out for two weeks now. At first they said it's not serious and they're just keeping him out to be 100% healed. But it might be more serious since yesterday, one of the Rocket broadcasters said he's week-to-week.

Before that, Fleury was adapting very well to the pro game. He started the year as a third pairing defenseman or a healthy scratch to playing in the top pair and PP time. A very good prospect fans should be happy is in the Habs' organization.

The weirdest part about McCarron is he never dominates.... with his big body, you would expect he could make big hits a la Weber once in a while but he can't.

I was at the game and he was involved as far as creating offense but not that much on the rest.

When you put up 4 points in a game where your team scores 4 goals, there's no need to do much else.

Also, Mete's goal was all McCarron who was right in front of the net causing havoc with his big frame.

I didn't said he needed to do more in this game but the game he played wouldn't result in 4 assists in the NHL.

He's not fast enough to play that type of game in the NHL.
