Why ?

We play everyone 5 times as it is (2 home games for sure, and a 3rd vs two opponents), plus playoffs - I don't know if we need to see someone 3-4 times in a season at home - I'm all for variety.

This is exactly my opinion as well. I wouldn't have a problem with facing 1-2 AUS teams in exhibition games if they played 10 a season, but now with the 6 game limit I don't like seeing one of those wasted on a common opponent. I would much rather see different teams that we don't get to see very often instead of the AUS teams that we already see 5+ times every year. Not only because of the variety, but it is always fun to see how teams stack up against non-conference teams.

Why ?

We already play them 5 times a year. If they meet in the playoffs it could be as much as 10 times.

Also, they develop too much of a hatred for each other which leads to too many dirty games in the regular season.

According to Lethbridge’s schedule, they will be playing Moncton on December 30th at 2PM.

I don't think Moncton ever travels outside the AUS for exhibition games so this will be their first non-AUS opponent since the 2012 Nationals.

They split a pair of pre-season games against Concordia in Matane, Quebec last year. They also beat Brock in 2015.

All that money spend for being destroyed by those teams. Lethbridge will be worse than last year. They lost all there "key players" + they had no good recruits. I don't see how those games will help. They should have put that money on recruitment instead... 49 wins in 7 seasons.

I was under the impression that teams were not allowed to have formal practices until the first week of school (or close), or is that just an AUS rule? I tried to look it up but the AUS rules are not posted, I am assuming that they are currently updating the rules for this school year.
