Ah, that really sucks for Kamenev. Back to back years of season-ending injuries. Just 26 games with the Avs, and just 9 with out AHL clubs. That can kill any development pretty quickly.

Greer has earned a shot but the Avs just lost two centers so they might go with someone else. None of those bottom six wingers can play center, even in a limited 4th line role.

Surgery usually means out for the season any more on shoulders. I think he will get another year, but this doesn't make it easier.

I think Dries has been fine personally. Just don't overuse him.

It's not Dries himself that's the problem, per se, it's having Dries, Bourque, Nieto, and Calvert in the lineup simultaneously that's the issue. It's the Avs' grand collection of four fourth line wingers who are going to end up occupying four of the eight winger spots, and who are all remarkably similiar in terms of their 'plugginess'
