That's good to see. Hopefully he's out of the woods.

    Stoked to see Timmins progressing.

Curious, if he's with the Avs since being injured. Is he getting NHL pay for his time with the team even as an injured player? Similar to Boikov in the past iirc.

What's the reason behind Bednar doing that?

Yeah, Timmins and Z were in non-contacts.

Have the Avs ever done this with any of their other draft picks? Timmins I mean. I don't recall another player who has never played a regular season game stick around the team in this manner. Not complaining but it does seem different.

I don't think they are able to send him down until he's healthy but I'm not positive. Boikov was on the roster all last year because he got hurt in preseason. They probably want to control everything too.

They keep him around the team's doctors so they can follow his progression on a daily basis.

Interesting. I don't recall them doing that for Bigras as an example.

You’re right. But they could send him home nonetheless. This is good news and hopefully this is just one step closer to recovery.

The Bigras concussion happened while in the AHL, I believe. Since Timmins started the year on the Avs roster at camp and hasn't been healthy since, he's still technically on their roster and keeping him around. They're really tip toeing around the CBA though with his inclusion in some of these practices, so once he's healthier they will have to make a decision. I think the Avs should be kicked in the face if he plays in the NHL this year but they love "their" guys.

Believe it or not, I'm encouraged that Wilson is coming back soon. That should push a guy like Dries or Bourque out of the lineup, and TBH Wilson has been pretty good this season. Gives us some more options at least, especially with Ghetto being ice cold.

I like Wilson but they need to keep him out of the top six. Give him to Soda and bump Calvert down.

Captain Contract Year is a solid 3rd line guy. And low key I’ve preferred him on the top PP over Compher. I like the fact that he just parks himself in the crease and lets landy do a little more roaming. Plus I think the 2nd unit really misses his shooting mentality.

Maybe the Avs learned their lesson after what happened with Bigras. Remember when Downie lost his mind and tweeted out that the Avs forced Bigras into staying in a hotel room all alone all day long for a couple of months when he was concussed?

Still happy to see Wilson back. He provides much needed non-AHL player capacity to the team. Maybe LoC goes down

Should be Dries that goes down first. I liked LOC. Eventually go down but Dries first and then ship Bork to Baghdad.

Thanks. That tweet was confusing AF. For a sec I thought the waiver rules had changed.

Anyway, let’s keep Gravy Boy along and drop someone else if we have to.

Graves and Nemeth have both been seeing limited minutes, and Graves has outplayed Nemeth.
