Canucks are ahead of the Devils after 2. With a win tonight they'd be only 3 points behind us.
The good thing is we have one of the worst tie breaker in the league, so almost any team with as many points as us gets ahead of us.

Meh, it is what it is. I said before the season started and reiterated my position throughout the season that getting two top 10 picks this year in the long run will be very, very good for this franchise. Sucks for this season but we'll all forget about this year on June 23rd if we get the opportunity to add Hughes or Kakko at #1/#2 and then the chance to steal a Krebs/Dach/Podkolzin/whoever later on in the Top 10.

I don't think we'll finish behind any of Sens, Wings, Kings, Devils, Ducks or Sabres (they are in free fall).
However, it's possible to get passed by: Canucks, Rangers, Oilers and Hawks.
So best case scenario we finish 25th and get the 7th pick pre-lottery. That would make sure we get a 2nd top 10 pick regardless of the lottery result.

I still hope Avs make the playoffs and don't get me wrong that the season is absolutely done, but I am hoping they win every single remaining game.
Now with that said, I have entered the mind set that I expect Avs to lose majority of their remaining games. If we can't beat the Ducks and made Petr Mrazek look like Roy (which the next game he allows three floaters from the point against CBJ) then my faith is at an all time low.
