While I understand the competitive mentality of maintaining a pace in a subset of the overall competition (I use it when coaching), the folks reading this thread aren't competing, so there's no benefit to a "game within a game" mentality for us. Perhaps an overall pace should be added?
13 points in 10 games overall is not a failure...it's 1 point ahead of pace.

13 points in 10 games overall is not a failure...it's 1 point ahead of pace.
It was always easier for me to understand "wins above losses." Basically, to make the playoffs an NHL team needs to finish with 13 more wins than regulation losses. That gives the team 95 points: whether it is an extreme example (13-0-69) or a typical example (44-31-7).
After 10 games being 3 games "good" with 6 wins and 3 regulation losses is one game ahead of schedule.

Yeah...that's exactly what this thread does, except this thread has the added bonus of pacing it out game to game, where yours doesn't.

Added an Overall The Fail is for that subset of games as it was confusing I added the overall.
