TheAHL.com and a team release are saying that Roy signed a PTO
Admirals Sign Roy, Carlson to PTOs

However, it's technically false because due to Roy's amateur status, he can only be signed to either a ATO or a SPC.

I'm more inclined to believe the multiple french articles which are reporting that Roy signed a 2-year deal.

You said and I quote..Utica signs Leighton to an SPC worth 600,000 for 1 yr...I then said no Vancouver signed him and it's 650,000 and 200,000 in th AHL...which btw is 100% correct...why else did Vancouver put him on waivers? Are you saying that the NHL and AHL are the same league and there is no separation? How does this affect the team in Portland? Are they now sending players to Vancouver? Are they going to fold the team because they have no players? Are they moving the team to reno for Seattle only to leave Portland without hockey again? I need to know these important things!
And most importantly...since when does Portland play in the AHL and what do you care about what happens in the AHL so much for?
