I know that conventional wisdom says he can't be a true 1C, but I'm starting to doubt that a little bit. It takes him a brief adjustment period--maybe a year or so at levels--but the guy finds a way to produce everywhere he goes. And as a bonus, he usually seems to show up in big games.
