To be fair Kopacka is only a few games back from a really bad wrist laceration injury - the way it was worded at the time pretty much sounded like a carbon copy of when Blake got stepped on in San Jose in....2010 or 2011. Probably going to take him a little while to really get going again.

Understandable. He hadn't garnered much attention before that either, I'm just curious why he seems to be flying under the radar or if our SD watchers might see some holes in his game.

He's definitely more of a complementary player rather than one that creates a ton on his own. He's a good skater for someone as big as he is. He's got a pretty good shot, he ripped a one-timer off the post in the 3rd last night. It also can't be overlooked that he's only played 9 pro games because of his injury this year.

Jones blows by a defenseman 30 seconds in but gets stopped on the breakaway. Condors come back and score just over a minute into the game.

Condors still up 1-0 at the beginning of the 2nd. At the end of the 1st, Jones was caught with a pretty solid elbow right in his face during a scrum along the boards and he isn't on the bench to start the 2nd. He looked pretty shaken up after it, hopefully not a concussion.

Condors score 2 in the first 5+ of the 2nd period. Gulls have had their chances but the Bakersfield goalie has looked very sharp.

Gulls now give up a PP goal then a shorty, 5-0 Condors.

Bakersfield scores another shorty to make it 6-0 before the end of the 2nd. Yup, not our day as Ducks fans.

Tropp scored with a minute left to end the shutout after he pretty blatantly tripped a Condor 15 seconds before. Gulls lose 7-1, and although they were definitely outplayed it wasn't as bad as the score would suggest. Gulls should have had at least 2 or 3 more, but the Condors goalie was outstanding.

Gulls play in Colorado at 6 tonight. Jones is back in the lineup after leaving the last game in the 1st period when he took an elbow to the face. Still no Kloos or Dotchin in the lineup.

De Leo scores a couple minutes into the game off a nice setup from Sherwood. Jones got a shorthanded breakaway but was robbed by the Eagles' goalie. Then, in Max Jones fashion, he pisses off an Eagles defender and goads him into taking a penalty. Terry just half-succeeded on dangling through the Eagles defense and was taken down, giving the Gulls a lengthy 5 on 3, which Tropp just scored on.

Well the Gulls were thoroughly outplayed through the first 2 periods, going down 4-1. Then they roared back and scored 3 goals in the final 6 minutes to tie the game, which is now going to OT. The goals have been by Tropp, De Leo, Sherwood, and Kossila.
