Terry now at 11 straight with a point. Also this gulls team is bad at holding leads.

Blandisi's goal has been given to steel, looks like it went in off the dman's stick. He's 2+1 tonight, now at 7 points in 8 games.

The Gulls look way more fun to watch than the Ducks from those clips.

Admittedly I’m stat hunting, but are either of these goaltenders any good? I realize they’re missing a ton of their top defenders cause of injuries, but the rest of the team looks like they could win a Calder Cup

The Gulls didn't blow it this time, though they almost did. They up 4-0 in the 2nd, Stockton made it 4-3 late in the 3rd, then the Gulls put away 2 goals into empty nets to make it 6-3. Goals tonight by Benoit, Carrick x3, Steel, and Blandisi. Terry's point streak is over, and Jones and Lundestrom both had assists.

I have no clue why Troy had such problems to score in the NHL.

I think Carlyle mismanaged his time here. I didn't like the idea of Terry on Getzlaf's line. I never thought that was a good fit. Not with Rakell on the other wing. However, I didn't mind the attempt. My issue is I think that after a while, he should have been put on a different line that wasn't seeing the other team's best each night.

That said, love how he's dominating AHL. Hopefully he's called up later this season (after new coach is in place).

Last week in San Diego - the via dolorosa edition:

11/21 - Gulls take a 3-0 lead vs Ontario, lose the game 4-3.
11/23 - Gulls had 3-1 and 5-3 leads over Stockton, but they lost 6-5 in regulation.
11/25 - Gulls led the game 4-0, but three unanswered Stockton goals almost allowed them to get back into the game. This time the Gulls managed to hold the lead, result 6-3. Highlights here.

A 4-4-2 record in their last 10 has the Gulls sitting 5th in AHL Pacific (.533 PCT). Gulls are dead last in the division in points, but they've also played the fewest games.

Top-5 scorers:
Corey Tropp: 6+11=17 (15GP), -1
Sam Carrick : 9+7=16 (14GP), 0
Troy Terry: 7+9=16 (12GP), +2
Chase De Leo: 4+6=10 (14GP), -3
Gio Fiore: 5+4=9 (13GP), -1

Extra:
After a slow start, Steel is now PPG in 8 AHL games (4+4). Josh Mahura is the team's top scoring defenseman with 9 points in 13 games (1+8).

Didn't even realize they played, but San Diego lost to Manitoba 5-1 last night. The Moose had 3 PP goals, and who else but Logan Shaw had a hat trick. Schenn had the only goal for the Gulls.

Good to see Jones back in action. A solid top line in the AHL aswell. Was a fan of his on draft day. Curious if he'll make an impact at the NHL level this year. Or if he'll be stapled to the Gulls lineup sheet. With the recent Comtois roster move, I'm leaning towards management wanting the prospects to avoid an intense/losing environment.
