I agree with your list for the most part except I'd have Chytil above Andersson and Tolvanen much lower. At this point his draft position has certainly gone up, but not a ton to the point where he is a top 10 pick yet imo. I'd probably have Comtois in his place but a little lower on the list

Both Pettersson and Heiskanen look like they could very well be franchise players. My 1st and 2nd for now.

Tolvanen? He was drafted behind Vesalainen. He is still behind Vesalainen. And Vesalainen isn't in the top 10. Cody Glass is still in the WHL - absolutely killing it. He hasn't moved down. Mittelstadt hasn't moved up. In fact maybe down a little.

Mine is just another under informed opinion based one the little I see, but more so on the tweets or posts in the prospect forum. I would take Tolvanen over Vesalainen, Cody Glass I've seen quite a bit of and I just like some of the other players more. I have no idea why but I've always underrated him despite being everything I love in a player. I am very high on Mittelstadt, love that pure skill game and vision, he just needs some time.

What's your list? It's easy to moan and groan over someone elses, let's see what yours would look like.

Was contemplating placing Heiskanen 2OA but Hischier is a darn good player, pretty much a toss up.

EP is a better fit at 2, Heisk at 1 :)

It was the Tolvanen one that caught my eye. Everybody got hot for him after his start in the KHL last year. But he faded. Meanwhile Vesalainen kept getting better as the season went on. Now both are in the AHL and, in a small sample, Vesalainen is outproducing him. I can't see Tolvanen leaping over Vesalainen. Both should move up though.

A lot of it is hard to do, so many players close to one another. Besides the things I mentioned, I'd have Petterson #1, Heiskanen #2. For a redraft coming this soon it shouldn't matter that you are very high on a Mittelstadt, for example, it should be based on what they are doing so far. At least that is how I see a redraft.

Surprised at how many people are leaving out Rasmussen. He hasn't done anything to lose any stock. I'd take him over Vilardi, Valimaki, Poehling, Hague, and others that have been making these lists.

Tho he hasnt regressed there are also a lotta risers from the 2017 draft. Not a bad pick at 9 but lots a risers like Jokiharajuu Chytil Necas

I remember back in like 2014 when Jets fans were gloating about Trouba being a future Norris winner and Blues fans claiming Parayko was going to be the next Shea Weber a couple years later. Ekblad is another. Theres a billion more examples. Point is so many players come into the league read hot and everyone gets horny over them. Then they don't progress as far as fans want. The fact that Nolan Patrick is falling on these lists is such a joke. Hes going to be so much better than everyone from this draft save Pettersen and maybe Hishier. Cant believe people have him below guys like Makar, Mittlestadt, Necas etc. Im not even a Flyers fan.

Patrick is scoring at a 50 point pace in the NHL, while so many guys listed above him haven't even played 20 games smh. I guess dominating leagues you're too good for means more. Cale Makar and Casey Mittlstadt above Patrick?:laugh:. Maybe they have higher potential but theres also a massive chance they don't pan out. I mean like how the hell do you have Mittlestadt above him when Patrick has clearly been better this year?

It's funny how Patrick has dropped down so far on so many lists yet is on a 49 point pace.

I guess he would be higher if he was playinging in Jr, college, or AHL.
He is playing well, but he also can't seem to go a season without missing significant time. The guy has a big injury history and a lot of people will factor that in.
