i dunno, elway loves him, even interviewed him for HC when he was a DB coach for the bungals. and if broncos fired him, the new HC would be 4th in 5 years for the broncos.

To be fair Kubiak retired so that was out of their control. If he hadn't had those health issues he would still be coaching today. Joseph wasn't a good hire IMO, they should have gone with Shanahan or someone else. Mind you some of the blame is on Elway for thinking his stable of QBs was ok.

Broncos aren't that good anymore. Joseph probably isn't a good coach yet, but it's hardly all on him.

it's not just that broncos/elway would get bad rep as the type who fire HCs easily but also the scheme changes, that's not ideal for the players and the players broncos have that they have already invested in who fit what the current staff wants to do; new HC wants his type of players etc.

shannys and elways ego probably wouldn't have worked well together but i agree that joseph was a bad hire. he's clueless. doesn't help that the roster on offense is pretty terrible.
