Mason McDonald, he's a long term project that is getting slept on IMO. With Gillies, Parsons and Rittich ahead of him, he may never play for us, but I think he at the very least will become an excellent trade chip.

He really is a long-term project if he hasn't improved at all in three years

Voted Pribyl. He has a high ceiling, and I won't be surprised if he does well this year after being dragged down by injuries last year.

How's he being slept on when he's progressed little since being drafted?
He's most likely taking a back seat to Parsons in Adirondack. An excellent trading chip maybe if you're looking for a 4th rounder.
I'd rather trade one of the other 3, as they'd return much more. Even then McD is still likely not sniffing AHL hockey this year.

To be an excellent trade chip he is going to need to have an excellent season at some point here..

He had some excellent seasons in the Q and last year he progressed nicely throughout the year in his first pro season. I'm also not sold on the fact that both Parsons and McDonald will be on the same ECHL team, it's rare for an NHL team to control both goaltending spots on an ECHL club.

He'll need to have a good season at some point. He's been underwhelming.

He may very well turn it around, but it will be hard to pass Parsons/Gillies/Rittich anytime soon.

Might as well vote for anyone at this point. They're all long shots to the NHL now

I'd say his 13-14 and 14-15 seasons were okay, but still a far cry from excellent. If he can have a big year in the ECHL then maybe things can start swinging in the other direction for him. At this point though hes a pretty fringe prospect in my mind.

We're voting for the 17th ranked prospect in the organization, they are all fringe prospects.
