It is the committees problem when they discredit the conference because they aren't P5, they are starting at a disadvantage unlike the 65 P5 teams. The G5 only gets 4 OOC games, I don't know which G5 school if any schedule a P5 in all those games. These schools need to have a balanced schedule, you can't go on the road for all 4 OOC games, your fans want to see more than 4 home games a year. It's unfair to the players and fans to try to force that on them just so they can impress the committee when P5 schools can schedule 7 to 8 home games and can play whoever they want and it not hurt them.

You keep going back to blaming the AAC not being a part of the P5. Drop that and just realize that UCF's strength of schedule this year was garbage. Maybe next year when they play Temple and Memphis, they will be powerhouses, but they weren't this year.

Strength of schedule is garbage. UCF gets a bigger boost by beating a 4-8 Maryland instead of a 10 win Memphis or USF. 1 -11 Baylor is ranked higher than UCF. It doesn't show which teams are actually good because there's plenty of G5 schools way down the list who would crush teams ahead of them. It's a P5 tool to make themselves look good, just like the stupid FPI that ESPN uses. Temple was a bowl team and Memphis a top 25 team almost all year, but we do play a 2 win UNC and 5 win Pittsburg who'll make our strength of schedule strong because they're P5.

If they scheduled better out of conference, and didn't play in such a laughable conference, they'd be taken more seriously, sadly.

That laughable conference did go 3-1 against P5 teams in Bowls, with the one loss being by a single point. As a whole, I'd say going undefeated in the AAC this year is no less impressive than going undefeated in the weak division of a P5 conference.
