Great game. Very different game obviously, too. Army wore down Navy in the last 20 minutes, and finally running the pitch on the option was really the difference besides those penalties.

The refusal to pass at all put kicker in no win situation

Should have called a few passing plays on that drive
That's not what Navy is, but when it gets to 3rd and 16 and you really want 8-10 yards, should've tried to trick them by doing it. Army was ready for the play and stopped them anyways.

They're an option team that already sucks at throwing the ball, playing in tough winter conditions. They would have probably thrown an INT or turned it over somehow trying to throw the ball given all of that.

Even if its not what they are there is no reason they couldn't have tried some short passes especially as you said Army was playing against run entire drive
