And there’s always the trade down option. Not that I would want that. But regardless of what player you want, the lower the pick, the better.
We need so many things that if our pick doesn't bust we win regardless of whether we got a puck-moving defenseman or a sniper wing. I'd prefer the defenseman, though.
Yeah But we just have to be patient. If Green and Nyquist or Tatar are out the door, this team will probably drop like a rock. That's a lot of offense to lose.Edmonton and NYR keep rolling the opposite way

It's only going to get worse. Prepare for another 4-5 years minimum of "wasted seasons." But hey, this is what people wanted. Not being in the playoff race since before Christmas and trending towards a 10th OA pick. What a waste of a season
Good to see the team still fighting. Lots of good character on the team. I'd be embarrassed if I was a Chicago fan to see the Wings once again being the better team. Chicago's next 10 years look miserable.
The Rangers have apparently taken a solemn vow to never win again.
When did this turn into a Blackhawks thread?
Chicago is just mediocre right now because the cap hasn't risen enough to offset Kane and Toews' contracts.
Detroit is Chicago minus the talent but even more expensive.
Not to mention the massive difference in quality in the divisions they play in. 5 teams in the central are going to make the playoffs vs. the Atlantic and their crew of flunkies.
If you think Chicago's future looks bleak, then i can't even begin to imagine how terrible Detroit's future looks.
