IMO Wideman is on his way out & it's just a matter of time before PD finds the right situation or price to move him out, most likely around the deadline would be my guess.

Wideman and Boro both out for a little while..

Call up Chabot? Or Jaros if they insist on keeping Chabot down.

Claesson - Karlsson
Harpur - Phaneuf
Oduya - Ceci
Jaros

So, it seems Chabot was mostly used with Karlsson and Ceci last night, on the left side no less, on top of which, he was 4th in icetime among D (behind Karlsson Ceci and Phaneuf). Does this change how people think our d pairs will line up? Or, is this just because we were chasing the game and needed offense?

It seems he's actually spent more time on the left side so far this year, despite being a "RD" in the coaches depth charts.

Actually don't know if our is better or worse without Phaneuf. He goofed sometimes, but he was a rock for us last year. Hard to say if he's just a product of a team having a bad year for this season.

I've seen Chabot-Ceci-Claesson and even EK have their fair share of wtf moments this year too, to give up on Phaneuf for next season. But if getting rid of him to have Gabs retire in a season or two helps retain the teams core, I'm all for it.

Sadly I think next season will look like this to start the yr but the good news is that Burrows, Pyatt & Dumont will be in their last yr if they aren't gone by then. I expect that PD should be able to move at least Pyatt next season. Not sure of Karlsson will be back or not, my guess is probably not. They might re-sign Wideman, I imagine he would come back cheap.

Hoffman - Duchene - Gaborik
Ryan - Pageau - Stone
Dzingel - White - Pyatt
McCormick - Shore - Burrows/Dumont

Chabot - Green???
Harpur - Ceci
Boroweicki - Wideman/Claesson

Anderson - Condon - I wonder if PD would move Anderson next yr?

Does anyone know if Gaborik can at least still skate well?
According to Kings fan, no. Honestly I'm expecting something along the lines of Michalek when we traded him away. I have no clue honestly have not seen the guy play in forever.

If the Sens are planning to buy Gaborik out he'll probably never play a game for us. Can't risk him getting injured.

Can Gaborik play left? Might as well just plug him in Ryan's old spot so we can leave top line intact.

Hoffman - Duchene - White
Gaborik - Brassard - Stone
