Of course they don't always reveal the details, especially if the guy is playing injured. But they could do it, for example, when the player is sidelined for surgery. With the Habs, it's kinda random. But I'd agree it's a relatively minor issue.
What is more of a concern is how they handle the treatment. It's just my impression, but it seems we do have a lot of players aggravating injuries by trying to play through it. Weber injuring a ligament because of an untreated minor fracture is really dumb. Especially when it's clear we're out of the playoffs picture.
