Looks like Dineen is having himself a very solid bounce back season. Wood's regressing to the norm doesn't surprise me all too much, and I don't believe I'm the only one who feels that way.

Wood lost his primary roll on the #1 PP unit, which is where he got most of his goals. Plus I think they've asked him to focus on the defensive side of the game as that is the only way he'll make it is if he gets better in his own zone.

I know that +/- is a BS stat, but in some cases it can be a somewhat useful stat to use, as is the case for Wood. Last year he was a -23, but put up great stats, and this year, he's a +8 and has 14 points. I have to agree with you they've probably told him to work on his two-way game a little.

I think Wood can make it...he needs to improve his footwork still, and get a little more mobile and I think he'd be a nice 6/7 up on the big squad.

I don't see why he can't even make it as a PP specialist at this point. There's plenty of those kinds of the defensemen in the league at this point.

Also keep in mind that it takes defenseman a little longer to develop then forwards so the fact that he's showing good development from last year to this year is a big plus. I honestly think he can top out at a Top 4 defensemen who can quarterback the power play.

Steenburgen with a goal and assist in 3 - 2 game 7 win. Leads Swift Current in points after first round. Sits 3rd overall in WHL playoff scoring.

Well Strome *is* still on the list so....:snide:

Murphy has looked really good and I think he'll have a legit shot at a 6/7 slot next camp.
I expect we'll see a lot of the usual names as injury fill ins. Hill, Mermis, Dauphin.

I'm also hoping Langhammer comes back at least for camp even if he leaves for Europe again afterward.

Medicine Hat (Burke) vs Swift Current (Steenburgen) just finished an epic double OT game with under 2 minutes remaining in period 5. Neither Coyote prospect registered a point.

That would be Moose Jaw vs. Swift Current.
