This is pretty f***ing crazy though. He's on pace for 216points. He's obviously going to hit a cold streak and won't hit 200+ points, but this is incredibly encouraging. He could turn into a decent depth player.

Finally figured out how to add pic of data file...updated through last night.

Tyler Steenbergen is having an unbelievable start to the season...same with Cam Dineen. Let's keep it going boys.

The Steenbergen Train keeps on going. Those are ridiculous numbers.

If he reverts back to the pace he was on last year for the duration of the season, he'll finish with 64 goals. Only three WHLers have scored that many in any of the last 20 seasons, but they were Pavel Brendl (73), Sergei Varlamov (66), and and Ronald Petrovicky (64). The trio combined for 60 career NHL goals in 483 games.

Brendan Shinnimin had 58-76 for 134 points in his 20 yo season. Steenbergen could be something but the odds are not in his favor. Sometimes these guys work out (see Mark Stone, Tyler Johnson).

With fewer games played than almost all the guys ahead of him, Eeli Tolvanen is now 6th in the KHL in shots and goals and 9th in total points. I don't think I'm ever going to get over this.

I thought he was going to college after last season?

I forget the timeline exactly, but either just before or just after the draft, he was deemed academically ineligible to play at BU, so he went to the KHL instead.

Through 20 games, he's 9th in the league in points per game. Kovalchuk and Datsyuk are 5th and 6th respectively.

Just before. Heard this is why he fell.

Let's hope Chayka can get Hickey to sign. I would imagine he looks at the winless season and thinks waiting for UFA status is pretty appealing.

We have such crappy scouts. First it was Reinhart carrying Doan and Team Canada to a WJC gold medal and now Alex Debrincat is carrying Strome throughout his OHL career. How did we not notice!
