I would like him back. I think he would take a discount. 2 years 2mil/year would be fine. I think he would get better offers but i think he wants to be here and fans like him. I think he's got 2 years left of good bottom six play.

I'm assuming you have Killorn to Vegas? Garrison and Sustr to the moon? We'd need to add a defender who'll take up half the 10mil you have extra and a couple of cheap forwards, so we should have 3-4 in space.

Killorn to Vegas, don't see the point of Coburn and Garrison both returning as we have cheaper options.

well the rumor is definitely in full swing in Canada. Hearing it all over so definitely a bit more than just smoke I am thinking. Could be other pieces involved. I have been hearing Sergachev, Beaulieu as well. I doubt all are involved but could be a bit on both ends added. I am only saying I have been hearing stuff, but not from sources. I definitely think Drouin is done as a Bolt. Way too much speculation regarding him.

Killorn to Vegas, don't see the point of Coburn and Garrison both returning as we have cheaper options.

Forgot about Sustr for good reason tbh, but if he comes back we're full on defense?

If Killorn goes we are good cap wise. We could keep Garrison around as insurance in case of injury and trade him later, kinda like Brewer where a team gets desperate and we get some value. Don't think we get much for him in the off-season. If we trade Drouin it's most likely for someone who makes similar to him so no change there.

Next year we are just as good even if some of the youngsters break out as they'd just get a bridge. Point could make Johnson expendable soon, Koekkoek Coburn so no need to hit free agency for anything. Two years with Kucherov and Point it might be dicey especially if we want to bring back Stralman but that's a ways out.

Kid looks pretty good, should get a chance but needs to be in the top 6 to really be effective. Bring him up and get Gusev over and then moving Drouin or Johnson for a dman does not hurt as much.

Connor McKenna is one of the main hosts of the Habs regional TSN broadcast station (TSN 690). I'd say if he says there is some chatter, there is chatter. He has many prominent hockey people on the show regularly such as Bob McKenzie, Pierre McGuire (a man that alluded to Galchenyuk and a 1st being on the table for a mystery player on yesterday's radio show, coincidence?). He's not one to make up random rumours.

Another guy on TSN 690 that is pretty connected is Tony Marinaro. He was the first to put it out there that Subban would be traded back in March of last year (about 3 months prior to the actual deal). He definitely has some sources around the league and within the Habs organization. If Marinaro confirms the rumour on his show tomorrow, then I'd say that's as good as it gets as far as rumours go.
