Liriano was not pitching well. Did you miss that part?

Liriano not pitching well doesn't mean the bullpen management was bad.

He pitched 2 innings 13 times this year, and more than an inning 9 additional times, he had just gotten a guy to ground out, with 1 runner on and a 4 run lead. I think I would have hoped he could have got the 1 more out.

I can understand the decision, but I think I would have left him out there.

I'm sure you would admit, if Gibbons left Biagini in there (with Cecil ready and a leftie hitter coming up) and he got in trouble. People in here would have been all over him for not using his leftie reliever.

It only becomes a "bad" move when Cecil walks a guy on four pitches and forces Gibbons to bring in Grilli.

There was no way Cecil was facing anybody else. And he wasn't bringing in Osuna or Liriano at that point.
