I would have started Ryan Goins, he has a sparkling 0.00 ERA against the Indians.

I shut it off thinking it was over. Oops.

I brought it up on MLB.tv at work and watched just the 9th, was fantastic. Really hope the Dodgers can pull out a win tomorrow in DC, then my 3 favorite teams will be in the LCS series'.

Fascinating note: of the 5 teams remaining in the post season, the Jays have most recently won the World Series. And that was 23 years ago.

To add to that none of the teams are really highly decorated and even then the Dodgers have as many titles as the other 4 teams combined.

Los Angeles Dodgers: 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981, 1988
Washington Nationals: None
Chicago Cubs: 1907, 1908
Cleveland Indians: 1920, 1948
Toronto Blue Jays: 1992, 1993

Travis is good to go for the ALCS.

In addition, Liriano is symptom free and will hopefully return.

In addition to the addition, the Jays have offered EE a multi-year extension. Before the season, they offered him a 2-year deal. They don't guarantee that they won't be outbid on this deal, but it sounds like a sizeable commitment.

I thought the rumor was they plan to offer an extension as EE won't negotiate during the season. Which to me seems like a bit of a PR move leaking it like that so fans aren't as outraged if he walks

If Edwin goes to Boston, I am going as well. He's so good it's ridiculous, he has class, he's modest, pay the guy his money.

Game 5 of the NLDS is heating up. Dodgers scored 4 in the top of the 7th to take a 4-1 lead. In the bottom of the 7th Nationals hit a pinch hit two run homer

Jays have announced their starters!

Game 1: Estrada (as we knew)
Game 2: Happ
Game 3: Stroman
Game 4: Sanchez

This sets up Stro to potential pitch a 7th game if needed. The Jays have also announced the Travis is returning for the ALCS and we should also hear news on Saturday as to whether or not Francisco is coming back. I for one am looking forward to player introductions on Monday in Toronto, I hope they blow the roof of the joint when they introduce Liriano, cleared or not.
