Please tell me this kid actually uses his size to his advantage and that we didn't just draft a prehistoric supergiraffe.

If he grows into his size and can check like Chara, it's a huge win. He could add 20 lbs easily.

This is a really intriguing pick. I don't know where they found him but I guess they have to see something in him. I doubt he ever becomes close to a NHL player but it's worth gambling on this project with a sixth round pick.

Hopefully he comes over for the development camp. If he does we'll know more about what we have in him.

How reliable is that 243? That just seems monstrous for an 18 year-old. We're looking at 260 by the time he's 25.

Barely matters if he tries to use his size. You put something that big on the ice, and it's bound to knock people down once in a while.

"Skates well" is probably the main thing. From Al Murray.

nhl.com has 230 and the mhl2 site has him at 213 and 2 inches shorter at 6'6''

Thanks for this. Unfortunately didn't really get much out of him other than he's a project and doesn't know what he is going to do in the future

Anyone have any updates on this guy? I can't remember seeing any real info on him throughout the season. Forgot we drafted him.

0 points in 30+ MHL games. Had a few scraps but didn't see any highlights, so not sure he's any good at it which he should be for his size.

He already has more aggression and drops the gloves more than 3/4 of the team. Him and sustr should have to fight for the battle of giants. He really can't be much worse than Sustr.

THW: In your statistics, there are always plenty of PIMs (Note: 79 PIMs in 32 regular season games). Did you have many fights?

OS: Yes. More than once I had to step up for myself and for my teammates.

Oleg Sosunov isn't here. Probably a good thing, at 6-foot-8, 243 pounds, not sure if the interview podiums could contain him #tblightning

THW: Did you often win?

OS: Of course you’re always trying to win, but judging isn’t my task

Surprised me with some of his offensive production this year and is a +19, how has he looked so far this season?
