I'm positive there's going to be some errors at the start, so let me know if I'm missing anyone, including someone I shouldn't or small details like that.

I'll be fact-checking small things tomorrow, so if you have any suggestions, shoot them my way.

I guess I would just mention 2 players that are NHL UFAs, so aren't technically Oiler prospects (Tyrvainen and Roy).

Found this article interesting. It's about former Peterborough Petes goalie Matthew Mancina requesting a trade (apparently he had a no-trade clause, I didn't think that existing in junior) because he felt he wouldn't get in enough starts splitting the games with Dylan Wells.

“Wellsy is a great goalie. He got drafted this past year and he deserves to be a starter,” Mancina said

While Wells had a disappointing sophomore season the Petes believe with more consistent playing time he'll fulfil the potential they saw in drafting him in the second round and the Edmonton Oilers saw in selecting him in June.

“We felt it was time to provide Dylan with the opportunity, along with our other goalies, to get more work,” Oke said.

Wells is one of the guys I'm most looking forward to seeing in Penticton and camp. All the reports from the bigger events he played in last year were good, he even beat out Carter Hart to start in the finals of the Hlinka, but he was terrible in league play. It sounds like he has all the tools to become a legit prospect, just a matter of if he can put it all together.

Not an Oilers prospect anymore, but Houck has an ATO with Colorado? I had hopes for that guy, hope he makes a go there.

I was a fan of his early on in his prospect days, but his offense really plateaued after the 13-14 season. PPG as a 20 year old is pretty forgettable. Not sure how well that will translate to professional hockey. Wish him the best though.

Matt Cairns has apparently been released by Muskegon of the USHL. Anyone have any idea where he could be headed next?

Thanks.

No clue. He was one of only two NHL drafted players in their camp... Im thinking something must have went on behind the scenes.

Well that's probably not a good sign. Hopefully it somehow works out to be a positive.

Peterborough owns his CHL rights I believe. He's committed to Cornell though, so I can't see him going to the CHL unless he had a huge change of heart.

Hey guys, looks like Cairns is now listed on Fargo Force's 23 man roster for the current USHL season.
