A lot that's difficult to predict with Team Sweden. A lot of returnees, obviously, but even with that it's looking like there might be a few holes on the roster.

A guess, for poops and giggs:

Lindblom - Holmström - Lööke
Kempe - Eriksson Ek - Kovacs
Ahl - Asplund - Karlsson
Grundström - Ehn - Franzén
Forsbacka-Karlsson/Timashov

Lagesson - Aho
Englund - Forsling
M. Pettersson - Kylington
J. Lindgren/Bouramman/R. Andersson

Söderström
M. Olsson
Sandström

A wee bit thin at center, I think, though I am a fan of both Eriksson Ek and particularly Asplund. Beyond JFK I don't see a lot of candidates.

I count with Nylander is not available, if he is, it is a big plus.

Timashov - Holmström - Lindblom (just replace Nylander with Timashov from this year)
Grundström - A Kempe - Kovacs (if Kovacs plays as he did in the tournament a few weeks ago, he is a top 6 player, and if Grundström keeps playing like he does, he is player I want to give much ice-time to)
J Lööke - Eriksson Ek - Asplund (97 line)
O Lang - C Ehn - F Ahl
Forsbacka Karlsson

Some HM
Stenlund, Ottosson, Dahlen, Törnqvist, A Karlsson, Mastomäki, Vejdemo, Bagenda.

S Aho - Lagesson
G Forsling - R Andersson
Kylington - G Carlsson (I want a big strong mobile d-men to go with Kylington, it stands between G Carlsson and Ollas Mattsson)
Englund/L Carlsson

Some HM Ollas Mattson, J Larsson, Pettersson, J Lindgren, Bouramman, Ekesthål Jonsson

Sandström
Söderström

Timashov-Nylander-Kovacs (TV-pucken 2011)
Lindblom - Holmström - Kempe
Grundström - Eriksson Ek - Asplund
Karlsson - C Ehn - Vejdemo
Forsbacka Karlsson

Aho - Pettersson
Forsling - Englund
Bouramman - Larsson
Carlsson - Kylington

Sandström
Söderström

Dozens of more players have a good chance of making this team so I'll be way off with my prediction most likely. I'm not a fan of players like Englund & Lagesson but I'd be very surprised if they didn't return.

Any chance Oskar Lindblom makes the team?

The roster for the 4 nations in Finland.

I don't really got a good track of this group. Is it likely these guys make the WJC?

With some tweaks, absolutely. This is the core playing in Europe, but we probably have more good players in NA than the normal year. From NA R. Andersson, Kylington and Bouramman challenge for defensive spots. Offensively we have Nylander, Kempe, Forsbacka-Karlsson, Timashov, Olofsson(5pts in first 4 NCAA games btw, needs more talk), Franzén. The first two will come down to their NHL club, obviously. Also Alex Nylander could make it, he's kind of the wildcard.

Guys in Europe not on this squad will have a tough time making it, imo. Unless they're injured right now.

What ever happened to Kylington?

Two years ago he looked like a world-beater, what happened since then?

Looked really good for Calgary in the prospect camp (although he was injured for most of it), played well in the pre-season and has played pretty decent in the AHL, which is rare for an 18 year old d-man.
Honestly, he looks like an absolute steal at this point. His talent level is top-ten in the draft IMO.

Andersson looked really good too. The Flames had a great year picking Swedish D. He needs to get a lot stronger though.

Any word on Andersson's start to the season? Statline looks underwhelming.

He looks very composed with the puck. Probably the Flames best player in the Penticton prospect tourney. Didn't look out of place in the pre-season either. Just needs to get bigger/stronger/faster which has always been his biggest question mark.

As for his slow start in Barrie. I think he had one point in his first 7 or 8 games. And now he's got 7 in 10 games so I think he's clearly finding his groove.

Just my 2 cents but I really like Team Sweden this year:

Lindblom- W.Nylander- Timashov
Kempe- Holmstrom- A. Nylander
Kovacs- Eriksson Ek- Karlsson
Ehn- Forsbacka-Karlsson- Looke
Oloffson

Forsling- Lagesson
Englund- Petterson
Kylington- Carlsson
Aho

Soderstrom
Sandstrom

Others include:
F: Rasmus Asplund, Carl Grundstrom
D: Jacob Larsson, Adam Ollas Mattson, Rasmus Andersson

Does Andersson have an advantage going in since he is a RHD and there isn't another one on the roster or a serious threat to make it?

Lagesson doesn't get enough love as a prospect. He isn't amazing offensively but he plays really good defensively.

I hope Team Sweden has a good tournament.

I thought everyone knew that Pettersson isn't even close to Aho's level right now.

During the last month Sebastian Ohlsson has played much better than Holmström in Skellefteå, so it's nice to see Holmström do well in the national team at least. I hope he'll be able to pick his game up (especially his skating) before the WJC starts...

I really really want to see Timashov in the tournament, hopefully him and Nylander(s) are in. William and Dmytro would dominate for sure.

A bit worried though.. that he wont be picked

I saw Grönborg's comment's on Timashov I really don't think there is anyway he is not picked :) http://www.hockeysverige.se/2015/11...inte-besok-av-gronborg-vet-var-jag-har-honom/

Says he was really dominant in Lake Placid among other things I definitely think he is going to make the team.
