Phil Myers has a better raw ability that 2 defenders listed already. His potential is sky high- Philly hopes that he can put it together.

Crazy that a 6’5 210 RHD that skates like the wind with a physical edge got passed up and wasn’t given a chance from some teams.

A lot changed for him though- his shot is arguably his best progressed aspect of his game. He must have the hardest slap shot on the team now; still not entirely accurate, but if it finds a lane, it’s hard to stop.

He does have some consistency issues with his physical play in regards to confidence. If he makes a mistake (let’s say a stretch pass that resulted in a turnover which turned into a 3-2) he will shy away from an aggressive style and play it safe until he makes that good play again.

If he plays with confidence, you see him shine. In his first game, against Detroit, Jim Jackson (Philly announcer) said this about an organizational comparison- “He has a mix of Sam Morin and Travis Sanheim”. He most certainly does.


Most don’t know about him still which is fine for us. Solid #3 upside, but he’ll need a couple years before his play really starts to show.

Myers is definitely in the 1st round of this redraft.
