Might be Barzal here, but you can't go wrong with Eichel either. Going with Eichel as a "safe pick".

You're missing a very key player that was picked 9th overall. He wouldn't be 2nd but definitely should be here over Strome, Konecny, and DeBrusk.
What has Meier and his 21 goals and 36 points done to put him over Konecny and his 24 goals and 47 points?

And Debrusk had 43 points in 70 games....more points in 11 less games than Meier.

Confusing.

1. Mcdavid
2. Eichel
3. Provorov
4. Barzal
5. Werenski
6. Boeser/Marner
6. Marner/Boeser
8. Rantanen
9. Aho
10. Connor/Chabot

Imo this would be the order I'd take in the top 10 in a redraft.
Similar to mine, which can change thruout the year as some players from this amazing draft show even more talent...

1 Mcdavid
2 Jeichel
3 Barzal
4 Provorov
5 Rantanen
6 Boeser
7 Werenski
8 Aho
9 Marner
10 Debrusk/Connor

I don't think Eichel should be considered the "safe pick". Barzal has the best season to date among the two players.

If anything, Barzal is the safe pick. He is the only one who has stayed healthy and scored at least 65 points in a season and not only has he scored at least 65, he’s scored 85.

I would take Barzal.
