Interesting to see Provorov over Hanifin. Not sure I agree.

I don't think Marner makes it past Toronto.

Love the Zboril pick.

Nice work, I think my ratings would be fairly similar.

If I've done the eliminations correctly, in this scenario, you would pick Filip Ahl at 31?

So if you were GMTM and had pick #21, and by typical Sabres luck all your Top 18 guys (Tiers 1-4) were gone, what's the minimum you'd accept to trade down (2015 draft picks only)?

I would love that. He's my favorite, non-traditional 1st rounder... in the sense that, he doesn't seem to be highly rated by any site/pundit/group.

i wouldn't trade down for more picks... the only trade down or out scenario I'd be interested is one that acquired a young NHL player

In that case, the range is more dependent on the player/type of player we'd acquire

Not interested in moving down from 21, for a 3rd rounder... or any of that kind of stuff

Curious about the Barzal drop. What do you see in Rantanen and Meier that you like more than Barzal? I think the Bruins would have to get incredibly lucky to have him fall in their lap at 14. Can't see him drop out of the top 10.

I think their games translate more to the NHL in terms of style of play and how that relates to post season. Rantanen being a puck dog/2 way player. And Meier being a power forward goal scorer.

Where as Barzal's game that is very space dependent, reminds me of Tim Connolly

Who do you like/predict for us at 31?

I would love Kylington at 21 but just don't see him falling past Ottawa / Detroit.

I'm really high on Rantanen. Think he would look great next to Jack. Pipe dream though.

Funny, I thought of the same comparison for Barzal

I would predict that we don't draft at 31.
31 will be packaged with 21 to move up
or
31 will be in a package trade for a player

If we do end up drafting at 31, my choice is dependent on what we do at 21.
If we draft a Scoring forward at 21, then I'd like a D at 31
If we draft a Defensemen at 21, then I'd like a scoring power forward at 31

Path A
Eichel
21 Kylington/Zboril
31 Ahl/Bittner

Path B
Eichel
21 Meier/Guryanov
31 Larsson/Carlo

Love the Zboril pick.

I've been hoping we pick Zboril at 21 for awhile, but I think Chabot might suit our needs a little better. While they're both LHD, Chabot is more of an offensive threat from the blue line. Zboril (if I'm reading these scouting reports correctly) is more of a defensive defenseman.

Nice list, Jame. Just like it appears you did I knocked guys down even if I really liked them if I thought they didn't add a new/unique skill set to the organization, examples of those type of players would be Merkley and Harkins. I ended up with 8 tiers, though if I'm being honest McDavid and Eichel truly are in separate tiers and that would make 9. I start my tiering at tier I at #3, because that's the talent a #1 pick will ordinarily have.

Un Tierable
1) McDavid
2) Eichel

Tier I
3) Hanifin
4) Marner
5) Strome

Tier II
6) Zacha
7) Provorov
8) Meier
9) Barzal

Tier III
10) Rantanen
11) Werenski
12) Crouse
13) Konecny

Tier IV
14) Chabot
15) Connor
16) Zboril
17) White
18) Kylington
19) Svenchinov

Tier V
20) Boeser
21) Sprong
22) Gurianov
23) Bittner
24) Erikson Ek

Tier VI
25) Jeremy Bracco
26) DeBrusk

Tier VII
27) Carlsson
28) Carlo
29) Harkins
30) Merkley
31) Siegenthaller

-If we keep all our picks, best bet looks like it would be to nab a tier IV player (probably one of those dmen) at 21. Then at 31 I'd be hoping a Tier V or at the very least Tier VI player drops, should be able to get a forward with top 6 potential there
-In an ideal world I'd love to trade up. Being able to nab a Tier III seems realistic. If we could somehow get up high enough (would take at least both seconds) to get a Tier II player I'd be ecstatic. If somehow we could climb all the way up to a Tier I player... GMTM wins the draft.
