Zach Boychuck was swapped for Andrew Miller EDM-CAR. They were just loaned to each others AHL clubs.

different idea/concept......

any AHL club can transfer any player to another club in the same league at any time according to the PHPA.

The definition is interpreted differently, unless its a trade outright where the NHL rights were dealt.

technically,.... Sauve was in Manchester when that deal happened----the E just had their version of the trade deadline and FLORIDA dealt Sauve to Calgary.....

reason is Sauve likely wouldn't be getting a shot in Portland but deserved a chance to be in/on an AHL Roster.

Turgeon I suspect is either on another PTO. HE's a swing player because he's listed as a D, but POR lists him as a LW.

The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers of the National Hockey League, today announced that forwards Kevin Goumas and Kevin Sundher have been loaned to the Royals from the Lehigh Valley Phantoms of the American Hockey

Sundher, a fourth year pro from Surrey, British Columbia, was signed to an ECHL contract prior to the start of the season by Reading and promptly rang off points in four straight games for the Royals (3g-4a), which included scoring a hattrick for the team in his first game as a Royal (a 5-1 win for Reading over the Elmira Jackals on October 23, 2015), before being loaned to the Phantoms where he recorded 5 points in 10 games (3g-2a) before sustaining an injury. Sundher has been recently signed by the Flyers to an AHL contract.

I guess it'll be time for a new thread soon because two more signings for next season have been recently announced!

It didn’t take former Scituate star goaltender Jamie Murray a long time to achieve his dream of playing professional hockey (...)

“I got a call from my agent last Sunday, the day after we lost in our league championship to end our season,†Murray said. “He told me the San Jose Sharks organization was really interested in signing me for next year. They flew me out on Tuesday to be with their AHL team and I signed an AHL contract this past Thursday for next year.â€

Tony Turgeon update

Turgeon is essentially on 2nd PTO BUT basically has played in half of the Pirates total games and is likely on the roster for the next 3 weeks.....

Iowa Wild General Manager Brent Flahr announced on Friday the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed forward Chase Lang to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO).

Lang, a sixth round pick of the Minnesota Wild in the 2014 NHL Draft, finishes a four-year career in the Western Hockey League (WHL). Lang played the majority of his career with the Calgary Hitmen before a trade sent him to the Vancouver Giants

Springfield : Daniel New (14 0-3-3)

Danny New was reassigned to Florida (ECHL) where he played 2 games over the weekend. This moves means that he is signed to a AHL contract.

According to theahl.com, Jonathan Carlsson has been signed to a SPC by Rockford. The 27 year-old Swede has registered 6 points (1-5) in 16 AHL contests so far this season.

Fun Fact : Carlsson is actually a former Hawks prospect (drafted #162 in 2008) who went back to Europe in 2010 after an unsuccessful rookie season in North America.
