There are 33 CIS/NCAA games this weekend (not including Simon Fraser). Any guesses on the overall record?

I'm taking a swag at 6-26-1

- Calgary will get one of their three during their trip to Denver.
- Alberta will get one of their two.
- Western over Miami
- Acaida/SFX will get one out of four
- plus 2 upsets

The CIS picks up 3 wins against NCAA competition on Saturday...of course those were against the #1 ranked NCAA team (by UNB) and by Lethbridge and STU of all teams....go figure.

Another good day for the AUS....probably one of their better weekends in recent years....

Acadia and Dalhousie pick up victories over Vermont and Sacred Heart, respectively.

UNB loses 3-2 to UMass-Lowell

St. FX blew a 4-1 lead to UNH to lose 6-4

STU lost 3-1 to Quinnipiac...Twitter said shots were 47-4 after 2 for the Bobcats, ouch....sounded like the Tommies goalies did all they could do to keep it close.

So, Dal/STU/UNB/ACA all go 1-1 and X goes 0-2 on the weekend.

After the first it was 27-0! :amazed: Trudeau stood on his head for the Tommies stopping 60 of 63.

Alberta earned a 3-2 win over Minnesota State.

I'm taking a swag at 6-26-1 (.182%)

The final total was 8-25-0 for a .242% giving up 4 shutouts which is a pretty good showing. Last year it was 5-22-4 and 6 shutouts and 4-27-2 with 5 shutouts the year before that. So, one of the better weekends for CIS vs NCAA.

Alberta got one
SFX/Acadia got one
UNB trades with Western
there were five(5) upsets rather than 2

I hadn't expected STU, Mt. Royal, Lethridge, DAL and UOIT to win anything. Calgary can still raise this to 9 with a win over Air Force tonight.

I hadn't expected UNB to win and thought less so after the win in Portland thinking they didn' t have much left in the tank. What do I know

AUS: 4-6-0
CW: 3-7-0
OUA: 1-12-0

I wonder why Simon Fraser goes on these trips. They were bush waked 9-1 (shots were 47-13) by the reining champions (#7) Prov. and then pummeled 10-2 (shots were 53-9) by Northeastern.

Total: out scored 19-3 and out shot 100-21

This takes opponents away from teams that might have had a better chance (Queen's, Laurier & Windsor only had 1 dance partner and PEI, St. Mary's and UdeM didn't go).

Here's the truth about STU - they aren't as bad as they seem. They just have the unfortunate privilege of playing in the ultra-competitive AUS.

That very well may be the case. I don't think they will make the playoffs or anything this year...but I still think they are going in the right direction. I think Trudeau might be the best goalie they have had in a long time (better than either Groenheyde or Lavigne).

Does anyone have any thoughts on Guelph vs Robert Morris this weekend?

I know little about Guelph and nothing about Robert Morris.

I watch Robert Morris regularly, veteran team, returned all of their defense and top 2 goalies, lost two of their top three scorers from last year, but are still projected to be the top team in their conference

It was just announced a week or two ago. Originally (at the beginning of the year) the tournament was going to be UNB/STU/another team or two....but it was changed to a two game series between UNB and the Stingers.

I believe STU will now be playing UPEI around that time.

I have not compiled a chart like this in past seasons. However this season's numbers are quite stark. The AUS has had quite a remarkable season.
