For Team Canada, the 2014 World Junior Championship played out very much as last year's U20 WJC ended up, with Canada going home as the fourth place team and no hardware in hand. And just like the 2013 event, it was Russia that defeated Canada to take the bronze medal, this time with a 2-1 win.



For these two hockey powers, the bronze medal game amounts to the Disappointment Bowl since both country's are more accustomed to battling for gold than settling for bronze, or, in Canada's case, going home empty-handed.

Canada forward Sam Reinhart took part in his first U20 WJC at this year's event, and the player considered by some to be the top prospect for the 2014 NHL Draft turned in a productive showing.… read more
