While a majority of the players on the roster for Sweden at the 2014 World Junior Championship were plucked directly from that country, there is a handful of Swedes that are plying their trade in North America. One such player is defenseman Gustav Olofsson, a Minnesota Wild prospect who is currently playing NCAA hockey for Colorado College.



Olofsson is originally from Sweden but has spent the past several years competing in North America. The Boras, Sweden native spent a couple of seasons playing in the Colorado Thunderbirds organization before moving to the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL, and he is now competing for a Division 1 hockey program.… read more

Totally. I liked how straightforwarded he was with his answers; for example when he was asked about the USA/Sweden issue and he didn't blabber any clichés like "My home is in the States but my heart belongs to Sweden...".
